The Empowerment Hour is a weekly community service show that discusses current events, small business, healthcare, economic  issues, politics and more every Saturday morning at 8am on Praise1079.com.

Jacksonville City Council President Anna Lopez Brosche who on Monday said she is preparing a plan to relocate all Confederate markers, monuments and memorials that are on public property had agreed to be a guest on the show weeks before this announcement.

“Obviously, this adds some unexpected flavor to the show,” said co-host/producer, W. Larry Williams. “While we plan to address this matter, Jacksonville’s urban and inner-city communities have greater immediate challenges that need addressing right now. We need to address the overall economic disparities that exist in our communities too,” added Williams.
