UN-PLUGGED? Why are Black, Hispanic and minority businesses receiving such a small percentage of our local and state TAX $$? This Thursday is your opportunity to share your experiences and get answers to your questions regarding the enormous economic disparity in the State of Florida, Duval County and City of Jacksonville contracting and purchasing practices. FirstThursday wants everyone who is concerned about helping qualified small businesses equally participate in contracting opportunities to attend this meeting.

FirstThursday Jacksonville B2B meetings are an hour of information, fun and education for minority and women business owners and managers. Anyone who is interested in personal, professional and social networking should attend this meeting, Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Jacksonville Urban League.

FirstThursday Jacksonville’s B2B networking meetings start promptly at Noon. The meetings are held in the Conference Room, Jacksonville Urban League, 903 W. Union Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204. The meetings are FREE and the Parking is Free in the JUL Parking Lot. Just bring a Smile, 30 sec elevator speech, business cards and a Brown Bag lunch (Optional).

Senior staff members as well as representatives from JEA’s Diversity and JSEB programs will be there to discuss and answer questions about how to successfully do business with JEA?
