Jacksonville City Council President Anna Lopez Brosche to appear Exclusively on The Empowerment Hour radio show, 8am, Sat., August 19th. Council President Brosche will join the show’s hosts, W. Larry Williams, Chairman, FirstThursday World Charities, Inc., Jacksonville & Seattle, Dr. Richard Danford, President, Jacksonville Urban League and Jharman Lightner, Eexc, VP, FirstThursday Jacksonville on the weekly urban empowerment program.
Jacksonville City Council President Anna Lopez Brosche who on Monday said she is preparing a plan to relocate all Confederate markers, monuments and memorials that are on public property had agreed to be a guest on the show weeks before this announcement.
“Obviously, this adds some unexpected flavor to the show,” said co-host/producer, W. Larry Williams. “While we plan to address this matter, Jacksonville’s urban and inner-city communities have greater immediate challenges that need addressing right now. We need to address the overall economic disparities that exist in our communities too,” added Williams.
